Banjarbaru- On February 18, 2014, Syamsudin Noor Airport held an event called coffee morning in collaboration with the Coordination Forum of Regional Head. This event was officially opened by the Governor of South Kalimantan, Mr. Rudy Arifin, followed by the presentation from Mr. Akhmad Munir as the General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura 1 Syamsudin Noor Airport, which focused on the explanation upon pre-groundbreaking presentation of its airport.
The result on this coffee morning especially about welcoming the pre-groundbreaking was the implementation of new airport terminal building that has been planned at least in the late of March or early April in 2014 based on the scheduling from the Board of Directors of PT Angkasa Pura 1, since the construction of Syamsudin Noor Airport has became a common commitment considering the fact that the airport is an icon of South Kalimantan society.
Although the airport land acquisition still has not reached the target, in the future those problems that has became the obstacle of the construction of new airport terminal will be solved along with the development process of Syamsudin Noor International Airport.
