Syamsudin Noor Airport Holds Primary Stakeholders Workshop In South Kalimantan

Banjarbaru - Syamsudin Noor Airport held a Stakeholders Workshop at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Banjarmasin on 4 October 2016. In cooperation with Prosval Consulting, the event is to discuss about study on the role of stakeholders to the successful of implementation the Long Term Plan of Syamsudin Noor Airport (RJPB).

The workshop, which lasted from 09.00 Central Indonesian Time has a purpose to explain the Long Term Plan (RJPB) of PT Angkasa Pura I to the primary stakeholders, to get feedback and support, to conduct discussions in order to find a solution to the existing constraints, challenges and issues, and to improve effectiveness of the cooperation and synergies and to obtain the commitment of stakeholders primary to improve the performance and satisfaction of service users of Syamsudin Noor Airport.

On this occasion, the Governor of South Kalimantan, H. Sabirin Noor entrusted speech who delivered by the Acting for Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province, Harris Makkie expressed “The Governor of South Kalimantan thanked PT Angkasa I which always strive to provide the best service to passengers. He was pleasure to see stakeholders come together to advance South Kalimantan.” he said.

The General Manager, Handy Heryudhitiawan opened the workshop by explaining the development of flight traffic and the potential for labor absorption of human resources when the new airport construction begins. “Our flight increased 4% from the year 2011. In 2015 passengers reached more than 3.5 million people. The meaning is the potential climate for boost economy in South Kalimantan. For work force absorption, we require at least 2000-2500 work forces which will involve the surrounding community.” he explained.

Similarly with the explanation of Handy Heryudhitiawan, Gunawan as advisor of RJPB of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) emphasized “This forum is to synchronize the long-term plan of Syamsudin Noor Airport with the related agencies in order to the construction of new airport will be able to push the advancement of South Kalimantan.” he said.

Related value-added or benefit of airports for the stakeholders present among others for the local government can improve the economic growth, provide employment up to the ease of access to the region. For land transport operators i.e. an increase of passengers and goods, the business opportunities which is ultimately increase income. Equally important is the benefit for tourism and hospitality which can boost the increase of flow of tourists, and so forth.

“We will conduct a Focus Group A Discussion (FGD) as a follow up of this workshop.” said Handy Heryudhitiawan.

The workshop, which lasted until 16:30 Central Indonesian Time was attended by the Acting for Regional Secretary of the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan, Mayor of Banjarmasin, representatives of Mayor Banjarbaru, Dishubkominfo, Airport Authority Region III Surabaya, representatives of Danlanud Sjamsuddin Noor, Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru Police, Directors of airlines which operates at Syamsudin Noor Airport, subsidiary of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), work partners, business partners, and others.
