Syamsudin Noor Receives The Excellent Service Awards

Banjarbaru - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi provided excellent service awards to ten airports managed by PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), one of them is Syamsudin Noor Airport. Assessment activity organized by the Ministry of Transportation was followed by 156 public service units of transportation sectors in 21 locations in Indonesia and its assessments were carried out for three months from June to August 2016.

The award was presented by the Minister of Transportation to the General Manager of of Syamsudin Noor Airport on Monday, 19  September 2016 in Mataram Room, 1st floor, Gedung Karya of the Ministry of Transportation, Jakarta.

"This is the first time for Syamsudin Noor Airport received an award in category of Excellent Service (Prima Utama). We are very grateful for this achievement. This is the result of hard work of employees of Syamsudin Noor Airport that will continue to provide the best service for the users. Hopefully this award has always been a driving spirit to work better.” said General Manager, Handy Heryudhitiawan.

He added, “Syamsudin Noor Airport is a candidate of the Prima Pratama category (final grades 65 to 75) along with 22 other agencies. Our efforts to provide excellent service started from the operation of temporary arrival terminals, operation of gate 4 and 5 to address the surge in the number of passengers, and other services improvements.” he said.

The excellent service award has significance as a stimulus for Syamsudin Noor Airport Management to create security and comfort for passengers in maintaining the service quality and continuous improvement.

Assessment of excellent service by the Ministry of Transportation itself is based on nine assessment instruments including vision and mission and motto of service, service standards, service charter, mechanisms of procedure system, human resources, facilities and infrastructure services, handling of complaints, survey people’s satisfaction, information system of public services, and productivity in achieving service targets.
