Banjarbaru - All ticket counters in Banjarmasin Syamsudin Noor Airport  will be closed. This closure will be active at March 15, 2015 as stated in the Letter of the Minister of Communications No. HK.209 / I / 16.PHB.2014 December 31, 2015 on Improving Public Service at the airport throughout Indonesia. The letter was issued in order to provide optimal service to the community of air transport user services.
There are a few things emphasized by the Minister of Transportation Ignatius Jonan in the Letter. He asked specifically to the entire airport organizers to take steps to abolish the increase in flight ticket sales (ticket counter sale) in the passenger terminal building, prohibiting the use of unregistered taxis (black cabs) to operate at the airport and imposing a ban smoke in the area of air side and all subjects having access to the air side.
Related to the changes in the function of the ticket sales counters into the customer service is expected to reduce the practice of ticket scalpers that often occurs in every airport.
There are several airlines that currently open ticket sales counter at airports Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin namely Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Citilink, Sriwijaya Air, Kalstar Aviation, Susi Air and Jhonlin Air Transport.
Syamsudin Noor Airport itself has been coordinating with the stated airlines. In addition, the management of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Syamsudin Noor Airport has a program to combat the practice by attaching banners in the area of terminal urging passengers to avoid the practice.
The officials urged all the people who are going to travel in order to prepare the tickets that can be purchased online or through travel agencies, because as of March 15, 2015 the ticket counter sales at Syamsudin Noor Airport terminal building will be closed.
