Syamsudin Noor Airport Held Socialization of Master Plan Airport City

BANJARBARU- Syamsudin Noor Airport Held Socialization of Master Plan Airport City on August 2, 2017. The institutions incorporated in the meeting included the Mayor of Banjarbaru, the Regional Development Planning Board of South Kalimantan Province, South Kalimantan Provincial Public Works Services, South Kalimantan Provincial Office of Transportation, Regional Officce of National Land Agency of South Kalimantan Province, Banjarbaru Public Works Services, Syamsudin Noor Airport Development Project and Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) Airbase Sjamsudin Noor.

In his explanation, General Manager, Handy Heryudhitiawan said that the Importance of Airport City Implementation in Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin was to Support Economic Growth and Creating Global Competitiveness. “It requires the Arrangement of Military Locations, Industries, Hospitality, Hospitals, Recreation and Others to Avoid Irregularities, Traffic Jam and Discomfort. Syamsudin Noor Airport is surrounded by vast land and relatively cheap and affordable human resources to be utilized as much as possible. Banjarmasin is relatively closer to the National Market (Java Island) than other areas, therefore it can become Regional Revenue Growth Potential”, Handy Heryudhitiawan said.

In response, Deputy Mayor of Banjarbaru, Darmawan Jaya Setiawan explained that the Government synergized with the Provincial Government in the implementation of Local Regulations to support Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin as Airport City. “There is a need for follow-up or next action in the near future such as the establishment of Team for the implementation of Airport City. There will be a good access in Banjarbakula, so that this airport is accessible for all districts or municipalities in Banjarbakula”. He said.

“The Provincial Goverment also appreciates Airport development by creating access from Bantu Licin to Airport. Syamsudin Noor Airport Development is a very positive thing and is expected to boost ecocomic growth. We also try to develop tourism sectors in Loksado, Martapura and Banjarbaru such as Riam Kanan, Tahura and Meratus,” said Hanifah D. Nirwana, Head of Provincial ILH BAPP.
