Syamsudin Noor Airport Explained Airport Project Development to Commission III of DPRD Banjarbaru

BANJARBARU – Syamsudin Noor Airport welcomed the visit of Commission III of DPRD (Regional House of Representatives) Banjarbaru on Monday, August 14, 2017. General Manager of Syamsudin Noor Airport, Handy Heryudhitiawan opened the speech by delivering a number of issues related to PT Angkasa Pura I commitment to complete the airport development project on time.

“In Addition to Syamsudin Noor Airport, PT Angkasa Pura I is also developing a number of other strategic airports. The new airport will have a very positive impact on the progress of Banjarbaru City. For the railway access, we have coordinated to stick to the airport”, he said.

On the other side, Vice Chairman of DPRD, Wartono representing the ranks of Commission III stated that “Commission III of DPRD Banjarbaru is directly in charge of infrastructure, therefore we often receive aspirations from the community related to the development of Syamsudin Noor Airport. We support the operation of the targeted airport, therefore in this visit, we want to hear the project development in the field”, he said.

The explanation of project development in this case was represented by the Leader of Syamsudin Noor Airport Development Project, Taochid Purnomo Hadi who delivered the Airport development progress for the infrastructure work, the supporting building and the apron expansion (package 2) which currently amounts 1.5% covering land clearing, materials access road, fence making, and so forth.

Taochid added that “For the design of the roof, we will utilize natural lighting or sky light, including a more modern waiting room and lounge chair. The auction process of package one for terminal and supporting building is expected to complete in October 2017. The main road of Syamsudin Noor Airport will use KM 17”, he added.

In a question and answer session, Commission III chaired by Bambang S. Rony conveyed the solution of PT Angkasa Pura I in facing the problem of land acquisition. According to the Project Leader, his side tried to make sure the safety was met first before the soil backfill entered the project area. Nevertheless, his side ensured that other physical works such as land clearning that did not require soil backfill were already started.

A little information about the auction process of package one that was terminal and supporting building, the majority of the parties who registered were from SOEs. “Package one is devoted to SOEs to encourage the acceleration of work so that the operational target in 2009 can be achieved,” Taochid said.

Commission III of DPRD Banjarbaru also asked about the community roads affected by the construction of the airport and PT Angkasa Pura I temporarily lent the road. His side expected that the Regional Government can also contribute to find a solution for community access roads. (PR BDJ)
