Preparing Young Leader, Syamsudin Noor Airport Held Enhancement Program of Airport Management Knowledge

BANJARBARU – Syamsudin Noor Airport held Enhancement Program of Airport Management Knowledge on August 7, 2017 at Jelita Hotel, Banjarbaru. The program to improve the knowledge and competence of human resources related to the airport was held until August 12, by presenting a number of experienced trainers in the field, one of the trainers was Purwanto, Human Capital Support Expert PT Angkasa Pura I who has completed the Airport Management Course at Singapore Aviation Academy and others.

In the opening speech of PT Angkasa Pura I Training & Development Group Head read by Syamsudin Noor Airport General Manager, Handy Heryudhitiawan said “PT Angkasa Pura I is currently developing several airports to increase its capacity to serve the rapidly growing passenger growth. One of the projects is the development of Syamsudin Noor Airport. It is a challenge that requires hard work, positive energy, and innovation in the implementation of a state-owned enterprise engaged in the field of airport services”.

Furthermore, “We are expected to provide a good and competitive service and able to understand what is desired by service users. In addition, as an economic actor we must be able to drive the success of national development through increased business income, quality and performance of human resources, and so on”, he added.

In general, the training of Enhancement Program of Airport Management Knowledge was held in order to improve the knowledge of employees related to airport knowledge so that all employees of PT Angkasa Pura I were able to carry out the tasks in the airport working environment and have the same knowledge and insight about airport management so that it can unify the measures in advancing the company.

A total of 30 participants from all work units in Syamsudin Noor Airport enthusiastically participated in this training. The materials included Corporate Planning, Airport Master Planning, Airport Operation, Airport Emergency Plan, Airport Commercial, And Principle of Airport Maintenance. All participants were expected to be ready and opened to face developments, changes, and challenges in airport business.

General Manager of Syamsudin Noor Airport, Handy Heryudhitiawan also said “Syamsudin Noor Airport needs to work hard, especially to build PT Angkasa Pura I because we have to compete in the open era. The target at the end of 2018 is to become a member of Airport Council International. Let us pursue the target to be “The Most Improved Airport”, he said. (Communication BDJ)
