Banjarbaru - There will be new transformation in 2015 to develop Syamsudin Noor airport. PT Angkasa Pura I, branch office Syamsudin Noor airport has planned to relocate its office building to the airport road.
General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I, Mr. Akhmad Munir explained that this relocation is aimed for the expansion of terminal's building and above of all is to improve services before the terminal's construction done, he said to Radar Banjarmasin.
Then, the progress of land acquisition that has achieved 82% , yet the groundbreaking have not begun. Management of PT Angkasa Pura I hopes in 2015, groundbreaking of airport land can be done as what was promised by Minister for State- Owned Enterprises that the construction of airport will be started in 2015.
The process of this Syamsudin Noor airport's expansion is considered difficult due to the land acquisition comprising society, Provincial government, even the air force. As a proof, since 25th of September 2014, Syamsudin Noor Airport has conducted a follow-up meeting of construction's acceleration led by Deputy of Secretary of Vice President for Economic Affairs with the agenda is to complete the provincial govrnment-owned land acquisition issue claimed by the Air Force.
